Kadar Timbal Darah Dan Keluhan Kesehatan Pada Operator Wanita SPBU (Blood Lead Level and Health Symptoms of Gas Station's Female Operator
Background : High levels of lead in the air and the large number of vehicles can take a risk of exposing outdoor workers, including female operator at the gas station.
Objective : The objective of this study was to ident5 blood lead levels, health symptoms, and the potential risk faktors increase blood lead levels such as habit of smoking, use of PPE and personal hygiene.
Methode : It was a descriptive study with cross-sectional study. The population was all female gas station operators in Ciputat and Ciputat Timur, Tangerang Sela tan. 34 female operator were selected to be sample. This Research conducted in October-November 2012. Examination of blood lead levels used Lead Care II blood lead test kit, where results will be obtained within 3 minutes. Questionnaire "Adult Lead poisoning Medical Provider Questionnaire" was used to determine the health symptoms (gastro-intestinal system, nervous system and miscellaneous).
Result : The result show 10 subjects (29.41%) had higher than normal blood lead level ( >10 aL/dL).
