Pengolahan Air Sumur Gali Menggunaican Saringan Pasir Bertekanan (Presure Sand Filter) Untuk Menurunkan Kadar Besi (Fe) dan Mangan (Mn) (Studi Icasus di Desa Banjar Negoro Kecamatan Wonosobo Kabupaten Tanggamus) {Digging Wells Water Treatment Using Pressure Sand Filter To Reduce Levels of Iron (Fe) And Manganese(Mn)}
Groundwater as a source of water dug largest fresh water used. Problems encountered, the quality of ground water and river water is not as clean water qualifies as the Iron (Fe) and Manganese (Mn). Fe and Mn in the water causes the water color changed to yellow-brown after contact with air. Besides can be detrimental to health, causing unpleasant odors and cause yellowing of the tub wall and yellow spots on clothes. For the water treatment research dug using pressurized sand filter (sand filter pressure) in reducing the levels of Fe, Mn, Turbidity and Microbiology (coliforms) in water wells dug in the village of Banjar Negoro Tanggamus Wonosobo district. Population and sample in this study is one of the dug well water houses in the village of Banjar District of Wonosobo Negoro Tanggamus. Samples were taken with a grab sample approach. Samples of raw water used for processing is taken from the wells dug population, while the samples of raw water and processed water sample taken one point in the tank before it is processed and one point on the filter outlet valve. The results can be concluded: 1) levels decreased 11.7% Fe in sample I (discharge of 0.5 1 / min), sample II 28.6% (discharge of 11 / min) and sample III by 30.4% ( discharge of 2 1 / min), 2) levels of Mn decreased 23.3% in the first sample (flow 0.5 1 / min), sample II 28.6% (discharge of 11 / mm) and sample III 29, 1% (flow 2 1/ min), 3) turbidity levels decreased by 57.9% in sample I (discharge of 0.5 1 / min), sample II 43.2% (discharge of 1 1 / min) and sample III 28.2% (flow 2 1 / min), 4) levels of bacteriological (coliform) fell 54.7% in sample I (discharge of 0.5 1 / mm), sample II 71.9% (discharge of 1 1 / min) samples HI and 73.4% (discharge 2 1 / min). In future studies in order to increase the (thickness of the filter media, increasing the number of columns filter) or combine with other processes such as coagulation and sedimentation prior to filtration.
