Anemia in pregnant women can lead to complications such as abortion, parturition prematurus, prolonged labor due to uterine inertia, uterine atony, shock, infection and severe anemia with a hemoglobin of less than 4 g/100 ml can lead to cardiac decompensation. Similarly for the POC anemia in pregnancy can cause embryonic death, perinatal mortality, prematurity, birth defects can occur, backup iron for the baby will be less. Approximately 50-70% of pregnant women suffer from anemia in Indonesia. Jambi province in October 2006 of 12 575 pregnant women there are 341 people (2.7%) cases of anemia in pregnant women and increased to 356 (2.8%) on January 18, 2007 (Department of Health Jambi, 2006). 't he purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of order intake and dietary iron tablets with anemia in pregnant women in health centers Tembesi Estuary in 2012. The research was conducted by Analytical design using cross sectional method. The data collection is done through direct interviews and direct measurement of Hb against 82 respondents conducted in January of s / d April 2012. Analysis of the data in this study using univariate and bivariate data analysis. The study, of 82 respondents apparently contained 58.5% of pregnant women are anemic, irregular consuming iron tablets contained 61.0% of the pregnant women and the poor diet most of the 39.0% experienced anemia. Based on the obtained results that the regularity of consumption of iron tablets and diet have a significant association with anemia. Expected that health workers provide information about the importance of iron tablets and a good diet in pregnancy and encourage kapada husband or mother's mother's family as a supervisor in consuming iron tablets.
