Aktivitas Antioksidan Ram Butan Binjai (Nephelium lappaceum Linn) {Rambutan Binjai (Nephelium lappaceum Linn) : The activities of antioxidants}

A detailed research was conducted toward Rambutan Skin Binjai (Nephelium lappaceum Linn) which is considered as one of the traditional herb. This study aims to Utilize and develop the use of skin extracts Binjai rambutan is one of the many types ram-butan found as antioxidants. The method used for the extraction is done by mace-ration using ethanol solvent and antioxidant activity was determined by testing against 2,2-dipheny1-1-picryl hidrazyl (DPPH) as free radical DPPH by measuring absorbance at a wavelengthof 517 nm. Test the antioxidant activity is quantitatively demonstrated that the ethanolex tract of rambutan skin have IC50 values of 3,6945 mcg / mL and IC50 values of 3,0467 mcg ascor¬bic acid / mL. The Conclusion of this research ethanol extract rambutan skin Binjai have antioxidant activity with higher activity compared to ascorbic acid compound.
