Pengaruh Konsentrasi Karboksil Metil Kitosan Pada Pembuatan Polivinil Alkohol Hidrogel Dengan Teknik Iradiasi (The Effect Of Concentration Of Carboxymethyl Chitosan On By Polyvinyl Alcohol Hydrogel Irradiation Technique)
ABSTRACT
The Effect Additional Carboxymethyl Chitosan Concentration on Polyvinyl Alcohol Hydrogel Produced By Irradiation Technique Has Been Studied. The Solution of CM-Chitosan (0.5, 1.0, 2.0 And 3.0 % W/V) Was Mix With The Solution of PVA (10 % V/V) By Ratio of 1 : 4 And Irradiated By Gamma Ray At The Dose of 30 Kgy And Dose Rate Was 7.5 Kgy/Hr. The Measured Charasteristic Consisted of Gel Fraction, Swelling Ratio And Infra Red Spectrum. It Was Found That The Addition of CM-Chitosan Increasing The Gel Fraction In Water. In Contrast, The Swelling Ratios Were Slightly Decreased. The Infra Red (FTIR) Spectrum Showed That The Hydrogel Was Cross Linked. Gamma Irradiation Can Be Considered As A Tool For Preparation of Hydrogel.
