Color Change of Acrylic Artificial Denture Immersed In Tea and Coffe Drinks
The Use of Acrylic Dentureo in A Certain Period of Time Often Encountered Any Discoloration of The Artificial Teeth of Denture. Discoloration Can Interfere With Performance of Patients, Especially For Patients Who Are Very Concerned With The Aesthetic Factor. Discoloration Is Due To The Absorption Offluid From The Polymer Material To A Colorless Substance Derived From Certain Foods or Beverages Consumed Often Enough. In Indonesia There Are 2 Types of The Most Commonly Consumed Beverages, Ice Coffee And Tea. The Objective Of This Research Is To Know Of Any Change of Color In Artificial Teet of Acrylic Denture After Soaking With Coffee And Tea Drinks. Hypotesa This Study Is That There Is Discoloration of The Artificial Teeth Of Acrylic Denture After Immersion In Coffee And Tea Drinks. The Benefits Of This Research Are Expected To Provide Information on The Effect of Acrylic Denture Quality And Typeso of Beverages That Can Cause Discoloration. This Is A Laboratory Experimental Research, A Sample of 3 Brands Artificial Teeth of Acrylic Denture On The Market (Good, Medium, And Low Quality) Were Selected By The Method Of Double Blind, A Sample Numbered 60, Then Divided Into 2 Groups, Namely Soaking With Coffee And Tea Beverages With Long Immersion 7 Days, The Incubator Temperature (37° C). Measurements Made With A Color Change Vita Easyshade 8 Before And After Immersion. The Resulting Color Change Values Of Each Group Was Calculated Using The Formula. Data Have Been Obtained Will Be Included Statistical Tables And Tested By Anova And T-Test Using Spss Version 17.0 With P
