Analisis Determinan Underweight Anak 0-23 bulan pada Daerah Miskin Di Jawa Tengah Dan Jawa Timur (Determinant Analysis of Underweight Children of 0-23 Months in Poor Areas in Central and East Java)

Children under two years old are a risk age group in nutritional problem, they are in a rapid growth process that the need for nutrients substances are higher than other groups. One of nutritional problems in children under two years is underweight. Underweight will have a negative effect in growth, intellectual development, and may increase the number of morbidity and mortality of children. Purpose this study to analyzed determinant factors of underweight children of 0-23 months in poor areas of Central and East Java. This study used Riskesdas 2007 data. Samples are children 0-23 months. Stunting status was measured by z-score weight for age (W/A). The data analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate with logistic regression. The results showed that 13,3% of the children were underweight. The determinant factors of underweight were number of toddlers in the family, environmental sanitation and nutrient adequacy.
