Analisis Determinan Berat Bay! Lahir Rendah (Brlr) Pada Anak Usia 0-59 Bulan Di Nusa Tenggara Timur , Kalimantan Tengah dan Papua (Determinant Analysis of LOW BIRTH WEIGHT (LBW) Children of 0-23 Months inNusa Tenggara Timur, Kalimantan Tengah and Papua)
Low birth weight (LBW) incident in children is a public health indicator because it is related to morbidity rate, mortality rate and malnutrition problems in the future. Therefore, prevention should be done since the baby in fetus, infact in preconception period. The aim of the study is to analyse the determinant factors of low birth weight of children under five years in three province with high prevalence of LBW, which are NTT, central Kalimantan and Papua, based on Riskesdas 2010. This study used the secondary data from Riskesdas 2010. Respondent are mother with LBW children in 0-59 months age. The analysis using descriptive analysis, chi square, and multiple regression logistic. The results show that 9,2% of mother having LBW children. The main determinant factors of LBW are gestational age with OR 7,01 (2,68-18,35), the frequency of antenatal care with OR 3,83 (2,24-6,56), maternal smoking with OR 3,29 (l,45-7,488), 'and mother's height with OR 2,55 (1,37-4,75).
