Hubungan Kompetensi (Pengetahuan, Sikap Dan Keterampilan) Bidan Dengan Perilaku Ibu Hamil Dalam Asuhan Antenatal(Studi Eksploratif Di Kabupaten Banjarnegara)
Background: One of the policies in decreasing of matemal mortality through the Making Pregnancy Safer is antenatal care that is provided by health workers who are competent through the placement midwives in the village. Midwives who are competent in antenatal care that includes knowledge, attitudes and skitls would have a positive impact in changing behavior of pregnant mothers. The changes in maternal behavior are infiuenced by three factors: predisposing factors, enabling factors and reinforcing factors. The competency of midwives in antenatal care is a part of the reinforcing factor in changing the behavior of pregnant mothers.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the cor relation of midwife competency in the domains of knowledge, attitudes and skil!s with the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care.
Methods:This study used analytic survey with cross sectional design. The subjects of this study were midwives who performed work of antenatal care in the health department Banjarnegara districts with its patients in the period of March-April 20. 11 using multistage random sampling. Overall the research subjects were 84 midwives with 3 patients each selected by consecutive sampling method. The data were processed and analyzed by chi-square and renk spearman test followed by multiple logistic regressions.
Result: The results of chi-square and rank spearman test calculations indicated that the competency of midwives in knowledge domain was not related to the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care (p= 0.967). The competency of midwives in attitude domain related to the behavior of pregnant rnothers in antenatal care (p= 0.002). The competency of Midwifery in skill domain correlated with the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care (p= 0.005) The results of multiple logistic regression analysis, the attitude of midwives had infiuence on the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care with a prevalence ratio= 4.278 (RPICI95%= 1.623 to 11.274) While the skills of rnidwives affectived the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care in a negative direction= 0.254 (RPI95% = 0.94 to 0.686).
Conclusion: It can be concluded that midwives' competency in the domain of atlitudes affected the behavior of pregnant mothers in antenatal care. The better attitude of the midwife, the better behavior of pregnant mother in antenatal care.
