Sexually transmitted diseases known as venereal disease is a public health problem. PMS is the highest rate of infection caused by gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted infection by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It aims identified the prostitutes are infected with gonorrhea and their characteristics. It's a descriptive type of survey conducted in prostitutes in the former Ex Pembatuan prostitute area District Of Landasan Ulin Banjarbaru from September to October 2011. As the population in this study are 206 prostitutes, whose decision as much 68 prostitutes are taken by accidental sampling with the secret ingredient vaginal examination. Data collected obtained from questionnaires, interviews and data the results of microscopic examination and computed the percentage is then processed and analyzed descriptively. The results showed th at PSK totaling 68 people found there are 9 people (13.32%) deciared infected with gonorrhea are mostly aged 20-40 years by 8 people (11.76%), SD / equivalent of 4 people (5.88 %), status is single of 6 (8.82%), become prostitutes because of economic problems for 8 people (11.76%), being a prostitute for s 1 year of 6 (8.82%), prostitutes region from East java for 8 people (11.76%). The conclusion is there is a gonorrhea infection in the vaginal samples of prostitutes in the former Ex Pembatuan prostitute area District of Landasan Ulin Banjarbaru microscopically examined so th at the need for treatment in patients to prevent disease transmission as well as the guidance and supervision of the Department of Health and the PKBI.
