Penggunaan Antibiotik Pada Ibu Hamil Dan Menyusui

Antibiotic usage can lead to an undesirable outcome towards the infant or affecting the fetus if the medicine which consumed by pregnant moms pass through placenta. Important factors relate with medicine transfer through the placenta and its impacts to the fetus are as follow: medicine's physiochemistry, medicine transfer speed through the placenta and medicine quantity that reach the fetus, duration of medicine exposure, distribution characteristic to various type of fetus tissue, stages of fetus and placental development given medicine exposure, medicine effects that used in combination. Medicine transfer through placenta can cause abnormality to the developing fetus which called teratogenic. Several antibiotics also excreted through breast milk.
