Diarrhoea is a bowel disorder or defecation more than 3 times a day, with liquid stool or semi-liquid, with or without mucus or blood. This study aims to determine the use for diarrhea in pediatric patients hospitalized at Mercy Hospital Budhi Jakarta and determine the level of compliance with the toolkit, in terms of suitability and appropriateness of medication doses given. The study was conducted at the medical records of the Regional General Hospital (Hospital) Budhi Asih. The study was conducted retrospectively and descriptively data processing by collecting data from medical records of patients for 6 months in 2009, gained population and the value of N = 585 samples that met. the inclusion criteria obtained n = 125 patients obtained from the purposive sampling method, ie taking sampIe based on a particular consideration for the researcher, who has certain traits and characteristics of the previous population. The results of the evaluation of diarrhea medication use in pediatric patients hospitalized at the General Hospital (Hospital) Budhi Asih, in terms of the suitability of the drug as much (3.20%) do not correspond with the toolkit and the suitability of the drug doses used in the treatment of diarrhea (2, 40%) did not correspond with the toolkit. From the results of research on diarrheal medication use in pediatric patients hospitalized at Mercy Hospital Budhi, lt can be concluded that the use of diarrhea in pediatric patients in accordance with the existing toolkit.
