This study aims to determine the relationship between helmet usage and type of he(met WIth the level of brain injury. This type of research used the enetytk: Quota sampling technique with total 30 respondents for December 2 to 15 August 2010. Data collection using structured interviews and nursing documentation. Analysis using statistical test Spearman Rank Order Correlation with SPSS 17.
The results showed that most patients with a good helmet usage by 40% and most patients wear a helmet type 3 or Modular by 43.3%. There was a significant correlation between the use of helmets by the large degree of brain injury, and there is also a meaningful relationship between the type of helmet used by the large degree of brain injury is suggested motorists are required to always wear a helmet accord ing to the standard.
