Aktivitas Fraksi Protein Jatropa curcas Sebagai Antikanker Terhadap Ekspresi p53 pada Kulit Mencit Pasca Pemaparan DMBAdanUVB (Activity of Protein Fraction from Jatropa curcas As Anticancer on p53 Expression in Mice Skin Exposed to DMBA and UVB)
Ultraviolet (UV) radiation and 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) damaging effect to skin cells can Ie ad to the development of cancer. UV radiation induces skin cancer can be seen from the increased cell death through apoptosis mechanism. Apoptosis can be observed through the expression of p53 protein as a protein proapoptosis. This study aims to determine the antiproliferative activity of protein fractions from Jatropa curcas leaves against skin cancer cells through the expression of p53 protein in mice induced with DMBA and UVB. The study was carried out using 4 groups of 10mice in each group. Group 1 was the control group without treatment. Group 2 was induced with 0.2% of DMBA (200 µL/mice) and UVB (5 times/week). Group 3 and 4 were induced with 0.2% of DMBA (200 µL/mice) and UVB (5 times/week), followed by treatment with DMSO and the protein fraction dose of 2 mg/0,1 mL. Immunohistochemistry examination on skin tissues of all mi ce were perfonned by using p53 monoclonal antibody. The results showed that p53 express ion was significaggly different between group 2 and group 4 (p
