Daya Bunuh Pestisida Nabati Serai Wangi (Cymbopogon Nardus L) Dan Daun Sirih (Piper Betle Linn) Terhadap Jentik Nyamuk Aedes
Pesticides KiII Power Vegetable Serai Wangi ICymbopogon nardus L) and betelleaf (Piper betle linn) against Aedes Flick. DHF is one of the spread of infectious diseases transmitted by mosquitoes Aedes aegypti containing dengue virus. The use of chemical pesticides can have negative impacts such as environmental pollution, therefore it is necessary to use an alternative pesticide plant. Plant citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L) contains sitrolenal and betel leaf (Piper betle linn) contains alkaloid compounds. The compound is used to kill mosquito larvae because they have the nature of a contact poison that can affect mortality. The purpose of this study to determine the ability of the pesticide plant killing power citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L) and betel leaf (Piper betle linn) against Aedes mosquito larvae.
The research design time seri es experiment with design control. Subjects were concentration of citronelia extract, betel leaf extract concentration, contact time, and the Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. The data collected was processed and presented in tables and graphs. The results showed that the ability to extract citronella (Cymbopogon nardus L) in killing the larvae of Aedes aegypti from the concentration of 90% of contact time> 10 hours larvae mortality rate> 10%, 100% concentration contact time> 2 hrs larvae mortality rates> 20%. The ability of extracts of betelleaf (Piper betle linn) in killing the larvae of Aedes aegypti concentration of 50-60% of contact time>2 hours with larvae mortality rate> 60%, the concentration of 70-80% of contact time> 2 hrs larvae mortality rate> 70%, the concentration of 90-1 00% of contact time> 2 hrs larvae mortality rates> 80%.
