Hipotermia Untuk Proteksi Otak Hypothermia For Brain Protection

Posterior fossa is a narrow space, which is occupying by cerebellum, brain stem and cranial nerves. The abnormalities that can be happen in cerebellum including neoplasm, hemorrhage or ischemia. Anesthesia management in posterior fossa surgery must be done with caution and thorough, in preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative period. In addition, the patient position is must be cleared and specified before.
In the postoperative period, the physician must be carefull in determine, which is extubated or keep in intubation conditions. Monitoring on the anesthetic and the possibility to a complication is a very important condition too. Prevention on the possibility for any complication must be taken. In postoperative period, hopefully the patient can awake as soon as possible, so the neurological examination can be done. If the patient will extubated, this procedures have to very smooth and no coughing and buckingfor prevent the elevated ICP.
