Aspek Perilaku Masyarakat Terhadap Kejadian Malaria di Desa Jladri, Kabupaten Kebumen
Jladri Village was one of an endemic area of malaria in Kebumen Regency that had increasing case during 2006-2008. The objectives of this study were to determine demographic characteristic, Respondents knowladge, attitude and practices towards Malaria. The study was undertaken asa descriptive cross-sectional survei in jladriVillage in April-December 2008. fifty (50)Respondents that ever had malaria were interviewed usiang a structured questionnaire. The reseults showed that 52% of respondents know malaria as a serious disease but only 54,17% of whom correctly associated it with mosquito bites. knowladge of vektor and vektor control was low. treatment-seeking intention at the health facility was hight (94%) but 46% never had malaria Treatments. survey data showed that respondents has positive attitude for using bed net to reduce malaria. Daily activities of respondents in outside in the afternoon and mobility to endemic area were increasing contact with vektor. the study revealed that community knowladge of malaria vector and vector control required attention. Health promotion about Vector control and vektor behavior and information about compliance of malaria drug treatment could be recommended.
