school age children are next generation. the most often food that are consumed are instant noodle. purpose of the research is to determine consumption pattern and nutrient contribution of instant noodles are consumed by children of 12 elementary school kesiman denpasar. the result showed that types of instant noodle is 88.68%. the number of respondents who are not adding vegetables and meat are 24,52% energy contribution of instant noodle for daily nutritional needs is 20,78% and protein contribution is 27,49%. improving the quality of human resources can be reached by changing consumption pattern to be better. eating variety food is essential to reach and maintain optimal nutritional status. it is much better if consumption of instant noodles should add vegetables and meat.
