Fruits and Vegetables Consumption Pattern In School Children
Food consumption in school children is determined by their food pattern and food preferences. This affects nutritional intake for their body. Many children like to consume fast food. As a reseult the consumption of fruits and vegetables tend to below their requirements. Moreover, child who consumes too much fast food could experience overweight/obesity much easier than he/she does not. This Study aims is to determine fruits and vegetable consumption pattern and its related factors in school children in SD Dajan Peken. This is a cross-sectional of 81 samples. The study found taht 58,0% sample has been introduced to consume fruits and 66.7% vegetables in the age between 6 and 9 months. Most samples (56.8%) have good knowledge in nutrition, but 9.9% sample have less knowledge. There are 91.4% samples who could provide fruits and vegetables in family. There are 77.8% have good preferences in fruits,and 53.1% in vegetables. The School children that had good consumption in fruit and vegetables are about 87.7%. There were about 80.2%samples have good frequency in fruit and 6.2% in vegetables. It was about 51.8% samples consumed good types of fruit and 45.7% samples have good types of vegetables.
