Computer-Based system for Library Service

Library is One of the supporting units for teaching and learning activities in Politechnic of Health Denpasar. Currently, the Management of library services at the Library Unit of Polytechnic of Health Denpasar is still conventional and only rely on the manual skills of librarians. Base on above reasons, it is necessary to creat a plan to develop computer-based software for efficient use of staff librarian at the Library Unit of Polytechnic of Health Denpasar in order to get more effectively to reach quality excellence service standars. Our researc activities produced software program which can be used for that purpose. With the software obtained from our research is expected to create working procedures at Library Unit of Polytechnic of Health Denpasar that can help to guarantee accuracy and speed. As a suggestion for the development of this softwarein t6he future, it shouldh be futhre studied in compatibility withthev development of operating system software of computer technology. As based on research test conducted, it proved that the software resulting from this research is compatible with Windows XP (the old operating system) but it still has small problems when instaled on Windows Vista or Windows system (new generation operating system)
