Pemanfaatan Jamu untuk Gangguan Kesehatan Reproduksi Perempuan, Analisis Lanjut Data Riset Kesehatan Dasar Tahun 2010
Background: Female reproductive health problem are many, while the consumption of jamu (traditional herbal medicine) was popular in the community. Method: The data of Riset Kesehatan Dasar (National Basic Health Research) 2010 in Indonesia is used to figure out women who consumed jamu to handle reproductive health problem. The Survey provided data of women who suffered from reproductive health problem. Results: There were five types of complaints about health reproduction of 79.835 women within the range 15-59 age years old such as; infrequent menstruation was 28,6% (n = 79.675), complication of pregnancy were 6,5% (n = 20.347), breast pain after childbirth was 11 9% (n = 20.347), and pregnancy problem it will be ended at gestational age< 22 weeks were 4.0016 (n = 63.536), Unintended pregnancies were 3.5% (n = 63.536). Statistic test of relationships between reproduction health problems and the use of jamu revealed that it will have possibilities to handle breast pain after childbirth with jamu (traditional herbal medicine). There was statistically significant relationships (p = 0.000) with moderate relationship (Coefficient Contingensi = 0.356). Conclution: The research concluded that many kinds of jamu for reproduction health complaints of women were used in the community but the benefits are not recognized. It was recomended to inventory jamu for reproduction health problem that mostly are consumed by communities for the development and further research which is mostly concerned to observe the benefits and the safety of the jamu.
