Analisa Informasi Diagnostik dengan Perubahan Multiphase Reconstruction pada Pemeriksaan Multi SLICE Computed Tomography (MSCT) Cardiac 64 Slice
Heart functions to pump the blood in the body. This process is controlled by cardiac muscle supplied by coronary. The disorders in this vessel involve obstruction and dilation that are called coronary artery disease (CAD). The new development in computedtomography scanning of the heart with CAD is a 64 slice CT (MSCT). Cardiac CT exmination is supported by electrocardiography (ECC gating). Images are reconstructed between 2 heartbeat known as multiphase reconstruction. This is in the range btween 0-100%. In Kariadi hospital in Semarang, images are reconstructed using either 65% or 70%. This research is intended to get diagnostic information with multiphase reconstruction setting in cardiac examination with 64 slices CT. This research was a survevy in which multiphase reconstruction is independent variable . Two percentages (65% and 79%) were set. Diagnostic information is dependent variable. Population of this research was patients with CAD. Five patients were sampled. Data were descriptively analyzed to summarize the result. Result showed that multiphase reconstruction was able to visualize anatomy of the heart clearly not only in 65% but also in 70%. Even though images of cardiac anatomy (aorta, RCA, LM,LAD and LCx) were clearly visible, however artifacts were still seen in these phases.Result suggested that both 65% and 70% reconstruction can alternatively be used in cardiac MSCT examination to complement each other. Each phase has advantages and disadvantages.
