HUBUNGAN KADAR HbCO DENGAN KAPASITAS VITAL PARU PEDAGANG DI TERMINAL BUS PURWOKERTO
Carbonmonoxide gas is colorless, tasteless, odorless, nonirritating, flammable, and a poisonous gas.The largest contributions ources of carbon monoxide from motor vehicles, which is estimated around 50%. When it gets into the bloo, carbon monoxide binds to hemoglobin to form carboxyhemoglobin.High consentration of carbon monoxide
in the blood can cause respiratory distress and death in amatter of minutes. The
aim this study to determine the relatioship between leves of carboxyhemoglobin
(HbCO)with lung vital capacity of traders in Purwokertobus station. This was an
analytic observational study with cross sectional design.Sampling technique using a purposive sampling with total sample of 52 people.Univariate analysis in the form
of measure of central tendency for numerical variables while bivariate analysis used Pearson to correlate the relationship between levels of carboxyhemoglobin with
lung vital capacity of traders in Purwokertobus station. Multivariat analysis
was used partial corelation and linear regression to control confounding variabel like age, duration of work, and BMI.The results showed that was no relationship
between levels of carboxyhemoglobin with lung vital capacity (p=0.229)after
controlling confounding variables. After multi variate analysis using linear
regression produced that there was a significant correlation between longwork
with lung vital capacity (p=0.000)
