The purpose of this study was to determine differences in nutrional status of childern based on the patterns of weaning and weaning to know the relationship between patterns of children under five family characterisrics The study was observational with cross-sectional. The population is all children registered in the village center in Gianyar who meet the criteria insklusi. While the sample is the total population. Nutrional status is determined based on the BB/U, the threshold using the Z-score, the calssification using the WHO classification. The pattern of Waning include age, how and why weaningFamily size mother. Processing data using SPSS, then the results are presented in tabular form and narrated. To analyze the differences in nutrional status based on weaning patterns independent t test was used to test and to analyzed the relationship between patterns of weaning with maternal characteristics, use Chi-Square Test. The results showed no association between maternal age with weaning patterns, there is a relationship work patterns of mothers with weaning, there was no relationship between maternal education with weaning patterns, and there is a correlation between the number of family members of mothers with weaning patterns and nutritional status of children there are differences based on the patterns of weaning. Suggested to health workers to provide the best solutions to the mother who is busy working for the initiation of breastfeeding to keep running properly, one of which is the initiation of breast milk through a bottle. In this way, expected to mothers who work outside the home can still be breastffeding her child.
