HUBUNGAN KEPRIBADIAN TIPE D DENGAN KEJADIAN HIPERTENSI DI RSUD PROF.DR. MARGONO SOEKARDJO

Prevalence of hypertension increased with nearly 972 million of the world population is currently experiencing hypertension. Some studies reported an association between type D personality with the increased incidence of cardiovascular disease, but th
e relationship with hypertension has not been known yet, especially in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the relationship between type D personality with
hypertension incidence in RSUD Prof. DR. Margono Soekardjo. The method of this study was analytic observational with case-control approach. Sampling in the case and control groups performed with consecutive sampling method with 86 respondents in total sample. Data were analyzed as frequency distribution tables and chi square. Results showed there was a significant relationship between type D personality with hypertension incidence in RSUD Prof. DR.Margono Soekardjo (p = 0.001; Odd Ratio 4.31;
Confidence interval 1.745 to 10.635). This research is expected to be a reference for the development of any other research in type D perONALITY WAS NOT YET KNOWN BY MANY PEOPLE.
