In 1992, the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared tuberculosis as a Global Emergency. In 2004, WHO stated that there are 8.8 million new cases for tuberculosis. Indonesia ranks third in the world for the number of cases of tuberculosis, after India and China. This study aims to determine the relationship Acid-Fast Bacilli (AFB) positivity rate with picture of chest radiograph in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. This research uses descriptive analytical method, with cross sectional approach. Number of samples taken was 34 people, using accidental sampling technique and data were analyzed with chi square test. Research results of 34 samples of pulmonary TB patients, there are results from AFB +1 of 15 samples, with minimal radiological abnormalities lesions (13.3%), moderately advanced (33.3%), the far advanced (53.4%). AFB +2 with 7 samples, obtained a minimum of lesions (14.4%), moderately advanced (42.8%), the far advanced (42.8%). AFB +3, minimal lesions (14.4%), moderately advanced (28.5%), the far advanced (57.1%). Whereas the negative AFC also found abnormalities radiology, namely minimal lesions (40%), moderately advanced (40%) and far advanced (20%). For the statistical analysis showed no signifcant relationship between Acid-Fast Bacilli positivity rate, with a picture of chest radiograph (P> 0.05)
