A trial of using malathion 5 percent EC against was conducted two cycles with an interval of the weeks application, in the rodent borne disease , in Boyolali, Central Java. The objecttive of the trial is to determine the efficacy of malathion 5 percent EC applied by thermal fogging compared to dusting method by Fanara, et al (1979). Result of the trial showed that the crude index flea was reduced 67.4 percent-83.6 percent for 14 days, compared to 65 percent-94 percent reduction for 120 days by dusting application.
