Peran Pengawas Minum Obat dan Kepatuhan Periksa Ulang Dahak Fase Akhir Pengobatan Tuberkulosis di Kabupaten Bangkalan (The Role of Drug Comsumption Supervisor and Sputum Rechecking Compliance at Final Phase of Tuberculosis Treatment in Bangkalan District)
Patients with tuberculosis who had completed treatment but did not do sputumrechecking at the end of treatment phase reached 117 people (20% oftotal patients). The drug consumption supervisor has a duty to remind thepatient to carry out sputum rechecking. This study aims to determine thecorrelation role of drug consumption supervisor with the compliance sputumrechecking at the end of treatment phase. The design study is case-control.Cases are positive pulmonary tuberculosis patients aged > 15 years whohad completed a treatment category 1 and did not recheck the sputum atmonth 5 or the end of treatment. The results showed that statistically variable confounder knowledge of extension workers and patients correlatedsignificantly with the compliance sputum rechecking at the end of treatmentphase of adult tuberculosis patients. The results of multivariate showed logisticregretion that drug consumption supervisor’s role is less well having3,013 times the risk of causing the patient not adherent to recheck the sputumat the final phase of treatment compared to patients whose drug consumptionsupervisor role well (95% CI = 1,615 to 5,621) after the controlledvariable extension officers and the knowledge of the patient.
