Konsumsi Natrium dan Aktifitas Fisik dengan Hipertensi pada Lanjut Usia di Panti Sosial Trenna Werdha Wana Sraya Denpasar
The increase of life expectation has a consequence to health problem which is related with geriatric such as degenerative disease and hypertension. Hypertension means increasing of blood pressure that hold on above of normal, 90 mmHg for diastolic and 140 mm Hg for systolic. Increasing of blood pressure on geriatrict could increase the risk of carebrovascular morbidity and mortality. The agent of hypertension is physical acitivity and sodium consumption. Maximum sodium consumption for geriatric 50-70 year and more than 70 year is 2300 mg/day, while recommendation sodium intake adequate for geriatrict 50-70 years is 1300 mg/day and for more than geriatrict 70 years is 1200 mg/day. Physical activity can maintain blood pressure stability because blood circulation will be fluent. However, it is needed to avoid heavy physical exercise and train because exercise and train because exactly can increase blod pressure. This was observational analytic wih design cross sectional study using 50 geriatrict. The study aim is to find out the correlation between sodium consumption and physical activity with hypertension to geriatrict. The study found that there was no significant correlation between sodium consumption with hypertension to geritaric(p>0.05). There was no correlation between physical activity and hypertension to geriatrict (p>0.05). It is suggested to find out other factors using different design.
