Perbandingan Laju Difusi Ketokonizol dalam Sediaan Mikroemulsi dan Makroemulsi Minyak Kelapa Murni Menggunakan Tween 80 sebagai Surfaktan (Comparing the Diffution Rates of Ketoconazole in the Preparation of Micro and Macro Emulsion of Coconut Oil Using Tween-80 as the Surfactant)
The aim of the present study was at preparing and evaluating different formulation of ketokonazole in microemulsion base by using virgine conconate oil (VCO) as oil phase. Tween 80 used sufactant and sorbitol as-sufactant. Five different formulations were formulated with values of oil (5%) and surfactant (35%, 40%, 50%, 55%)and co-surfactant (10%). Mocroemulsion of ketoconazole also made but without cosurfactant, in-vitro oermeation of ketoconazole from the microemulsions and macroemulsion were evaluated by using Keshary-Chien diffusion cells mounted with 0,45µm millipore membrane. The amount of drug permeated across was analyzed byspectrophotometer UV-Vs and the droplet size and polidispersity index of the microemulsions was characterized by using a Delsa Nano Particle Size Analyzer. The smallest globule size of microemulsion was 35 nm, obtainfrom formulation with Tween 80 concentration was 55%. The droplet size obtained from macroemulsion was 300 µm.The microemulsion formulations could significantly increase the cumulative % peneltrated of ketoconazole over the macroemulsion form, after 60 minute, 61, 068% and 9,932%, respectively. The results indicated that the microemulsionsystem studied would be a promising tool fro enhancing the topical delivery of ketoconazole.
