Pengaruh Pemberiaan Perasan Tomat (Lycopersicum Escluentum, Mill), terhadap Histopatologi Ginjal Tikus Jantan yang Terinduksi Uranium

The kindney is one of important organ. It has been known that exposure to radioactive disturb its cells. In this study, we assess the protective feature of tomato juice in uranium exposure, We randomly divided 30 males mice aged 3-6 month old into 6 groups. uranium. The first group is the control, while the second group as the negative control, and the third group as the postive control by giving vitamin C as much as 3,6 mg/200g BW 15 minutes before uranium dose. Groups IV. V, VI were given tomato juice with concentration of 10%, 20%, and 30% as much as 0,01mL mllg Bw 15 minutes pre uranium dose. Five days later, all mices were decapitated and made kidney histopathologic slides. We observed necrotic phenomenon macroscopic and microscopically. We found that tomato juice had a protective feature toward uranium exposures, and the higher the concentrate, the higher its protection.
