Colchicine sebagai Terapi Spesifik pada Gout Arthritis Aku
Abstract. Gout Arthritis is a disease caused by monosodium urate (MSU) crystals deposition in articular and periarticular tissues because of ex tra cellular fluid super saturation and result in fir; one or many clinical manifestation. About 90% patient with primary gout arthritis are male, usually above 30 years old. In women, it usually happen after menopause. Diagnose of gout arthritis is based on clinical symptoms, laboratory examination and roentgen. Acute gout arthritis is managed specifically with colchicines. Treatment can be given every 2 hours until clinical symptoms relief or side effect of the drug such as nausea and vomit happen. Maximal dose given is 8 mg. Colchicine can rapidly and specifically treat acute gout arthritis. (JKS 2010;2:105-108)
