Nilai Diagnostik RDT Malaria Menggunakan Enzim HRP-2 pLDH Pan, dan pLDH Vivax

Malaria ROT which produced by several companies today use different method one another and that may affect in its diagnostic values. Therefore, the study of diagnostic value each ROTs is needed in or¬der to find the best ROTs used in clinical practice. Objective: to determine diagnostic values of malaria ROT (sensitivity, specificity, positif predictive value/PPV, and negative predictive value/NPV) of malaria ROT using antigenic target of P.falciparum specific Histidine rich protein (HRP-2) and pLOH (Pan and PvpLOH). It is a cross sectional study and the samples were collected during February 2008 to September 2009 in several hospitals in Malang. The gold standard diagnostic for malaria is blood smear. Mc Nemar test is used to determine sensitivity, spesificity, PPV, and NPV. Result: 77 samples were obtained (47 malaria cases and 30 controls) and we found that the sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV of HRP-2 were 94,1%; 100%; 100%; 96,7% consecutively and those for PvpLOH were 94,7%; 100; 100%; 96,7%. Conclusion: ROT using HRP-2 and PvpLDH have a good diagnostik value and consic value and considered as alternative diagnostic of Malaria
