Analisis Unsur dalam Partikulat Terespirasi Menggunakan Metode Aktivasi Neutron
Respirable particulates are particulates which having diameter size at 2-5 JUrI, due to aerodynami¬cally may be inhaled through respiratory tract and having ability to deposit into lungs, causing damage of the alveolar tissues and inducing health problems. Health Department of Bandung have reported that prevalence of acute respiratory tract infection disease have increased tendency every year. Measurement of PM10 in period of 2002-2005 have been done by BPLH Bandung city which pointed that in some places the concentration of PM 10 was higher than daily threshold limit values. In this paper will be explained the determination of elemental concentration on Respirable particulates exposure in society for hazard identification and as the earlier step from epidemiological study. Sampling was carrying out in four different locations in Bandung area during period of 2007. Elemental identification of Br, Mn, AI, I, V, Cl, Ti, and Na was done using neutron activation analysis method. The results showed that most of the elements which contained in Respirable particuJates was found in industrial area Cisaranten Wetan as highest concentration
