Karakteristik Pasien Epilepsi di RSUD Penembahan Senopati Bantul Periode Januari-Desember 2009
Background: Epilepsy is a disorder characterized by recurrent seizures originating from the brain, which affects an
episode of sensory. motor or autonomic phenomena with or without loss of consciousness. Epilepsy is the second most common occurrence chronic neurological conditions by a neurologist.
Objective: The objective of study is to measure the distribution of characteristics of epilepsy patient in general hospital in Bantul Senopati Panembahan.
Methods: This study is a retrospective observational descriptive analytic cross sectional design. Samples were taken from the population of all patients with epilepsy who went into the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Results: Of 188 patients diagnosed with epilepsy as much as men (51.1%) and females (48.9%). Epilepsy is also the most widely attacked age
