Peranan Pencitraan dalam Deteksi Kelainan Anatomi pada Anak dengan Infeksi Saluran Kemih Atas
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is one of infections children, 3-5% in girls and 1 % in boys. The boys' infection frequently happened in circumsized boys. The prominent cause of UTI is colon's bacteria. In girls the UTI due to E.coli, Proteus and Klebsiella. Furthermore, in boys, the UTI caused by E.coli and Proteus. The UTI clinical manifestation depends on the infection localization and the children age. Then, the host risk factor and the bacteria virulence. The NICE recommends that imaging investigation to the children with UTI depending on the age and the type of UTI. The imaging investigation play an important role in the children with upper UTI (pyelonephritis) evaluation, complex UTI and repeated UTI to withdraw the anatomy abnormality as the UTI risk factor. Imaging investigation also plays an important role to detect the existence ofrefluks vesiko ureter (RVU). Finally, it predicts and detects the existence of kidney scrath after the UTI episode. The imaging investigation doesn't need to be done routinely to the child with simplex UTI first episode. The usa investigation can be applied as the first level of investigation to evaluate the child with UTI. It is a need to have an imaging investigation guideline which can be applied universally, effectively and economically for the evaluation of children with UTI.
