Daya Larvisida Ekstrak Daun Sirih (Piper betle L)terhadap Mortalitas Larva Aedes aegypti L
Dengue hemorrhagic fever is a disease caused by dengue virus which is transmitted by Aedes aegepti L. mosquito as the vector. One method for the control of the Aedes aegypti population is inference to their lifecycle. A fully randomised study was aimed to investigate the effect of piper betle leaves' extract to the Ae. aegypti larvae's mortality. The concentration used in the five treatments were 0% (control), 0,05%, 0,1%, 0,2% and 0,4%, with four replications. The independence variable was the belle leaves' extract and, the dependence variable was the mortality of Ae. aegypti larvae. Tbe result shown that the betle leaves' extract caused larva mortality with x' calculation> x' table (16,81> 9,488). The concentration for half of mortality (LC 50) was 0,046%. Finally, the extract concentration for 90% population mortality was 0,103% after 24 hours treatment.
