Pengaruh Penambahan Tepung Daun Katuk (Sauropus Androgynus) dalam Pakan Ayam Broiler terhadap Kecernaan Pakan, Bobot Badan, dan Produksi Cairan Empedu (The Effect of Leaf Katuk Powder (Souropus Androgynus) in Broiler Chicken Feeding in Fead Digestibility, Bodyweight, and Bile Production)
Katuk (Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr) as a medicinal plant, other than as a facilitator nutritious breast milk may also reduce the fat content of broiler chickens and can reduce cholesterol levels of carcasses and egg, and quality improvement of carcasses and eggs. The aims of this study was to determine the inhibition mechanism of fat, feed digestibility (digestibility of crude fat, crude protein and crude fiber), carcass weight, and bile production as an illustration of the level of fat absorption. A total of 32 broiler chickens were divided into four treatment groups, 8 chickens each, with the addition of leaf powder feed katuk 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%, or in a sequence of groups P1, P2, P3, and P4.Research shows that the decline in crude fat digestibility (p 0.05). Addition of leaf powder in the feed of broiler chickens katuk showed a decrease of bile salt production and carcass weight of broilers significantly along increase the level of leaf katuk powder. Conversely, the volume of bile did not show different values when compared with the group without the addition of leaf katuk powder.
