Efektivitas Pemberian Kapsul Iodium Dosis 200 mg terhadap Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Siswa SDN Tegal weru Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten malang

Abstract: lodium is one of important for human life, because it is really needed for brain growth, development and function. The disturbance caused by iodium deficiency is one of the nutrition main problems in Indonesia. Disturbance caused by iodium deficiency is a group of symptoms appear because our body lacks of iodium for a quite long periode of time.Based on a previous research conducted by Insih Wiyanti (2005). the result showed that TGR Teagalweru Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang was 38.6% before iodium capsule 200 mg in 3 month length of time. From an observation of iodized salt in community in 2008 by taking samples from student of 4" and 6" grade in SDN Tegalweru, the result was 9 samples (42.9%) were deficient in salt and not containing todium, which belonged to village with bad salt criteria. it was also discovered that there were six student who were supposed to be in 71h grade were still in 61h grade, and 3 student who were supposed to be in 6th grade were still in 5th grade. This research aimed to find out the effectivity of iodium capsule 200 mg administration toward the increase of study achievement in 200 mg in SDN Tegalweru Kecamatan Dau Kabupaten Malang. This researzh used comparative analytic approach design in pretest posttest design. The research population was 90 student from 5th and 6rh grade from SDN Tegalweru, using purposive sampling technique, samples were selected suitable with inclusion criteria which is student from 5th and 6th grade who arrived in early palpation checking and criteria for study achievement before iodium capsule 200 mg administration. The number of sample is 82 respondents. Data analysis in this research .was conducted using t-test by significance 07 a 0.05 t-test result showed that there was a significant difference between the result of study achievement in Mathematics before and after iodium capsule 200 mg administration because=t calculation < -t,,,,,,, (-3.30 < -1.990). While there was also significant difference foe study achievement in Indonesia before and after iodium capsule 200 mg administration because -I calculation < -tlaMe (-3.505 < -1.990)
