Abstract: Identity formation is the central developmental task of adolescent which is basic of adult period. Therapeutic group intervention approach for adolescent self identity formation is applied rarely by nurse or other health profession. Purpose of this research to identify the effects of therapeutic group intervention on adolescent self identity development at Malang. Research design is "Quasi experimen¬tal with pre-post lest control group" . Subjects of research are early adolescent J 2-/ 5 years old at Ma/ang, total sampe/ amount 78%, 38% intervention group and 40% control group. Samples were taken by purposive sampling.
