Pengaruh Umur Eceng Gondok (Eichornia crassipes) dan Genjer (Limnocharis flava) terhadap Penyerapan Logam pb. Cd, dan Cu dalam Ember Perlakuan dengan Metode Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom (The Effect of the Age Water Hyacinth (Eichornia Crassipes) and Water Lettuce (Limnocharis flava) on The Absorption Capacity for Heavy Metals, Pb, Cd and Cu as Tasted by Specrophotometry of Atomic Absorption)
Water hyacinth (Eichornia crassipes) and water lettuce (Limnocharis flava) are well known aquatic weeds, which reported as able to absorpt heavy metals due to their cells structure contains fine fillys as the bio filter in sewage that contain heavy metals. To study the absorption capacity, a test has been conducted in the lab. The plants have been planted in the pails placed in a big pond. After one week, the plants were planted in the biger pails of 2, 5 liters, then they were added with metal solution in water at 20 ppm per pail. The water plants were taken each week and treated by soaking in heavy concentration of HNO, and H,SO, for destruction. The destructed stuff and its Pb, Cd and Cu conten was tested by Atomic Absorbtion Spectrophotometer. The results showed that water hyacinth has the property to absorpt heavy metals which much better than water lettuce at the age of 8 weeks. Both plants could absorpt Pb more than Cu and also Cd. Statistical analysis of data are normal and homogeneus. ANOVA test showed that the age does not affect the concentration of Pb, Cd and Cu, since the weight of plants increased.
