Hubungan Inisiasi Menyusui Dini dengan Tingggi Fundus Uteri pada Ibu Postpartum di BPS

Currently the government is encourage of exclusive breastfeeding by breast-feeding as early as possible._ However this is still often overlooked, 3.7% infants in Indonesian were breastfed within one hour after the first birth, because they did not realize the importance of breastfeeding in infants shortly after birth. IE8 is useful to maintain the uterine contractions that uterine involution process can be accelerated. The purpose of this study is to know the relationship of early initiation of breastfeeding with high on postpartum uterine fundus mothers at BPS Leny Kurniasari S., Lidah Kulon Indah Puri A-8 Surabaya. This study used a cross sectional analytic design. The sample was 32 postpartum mothers, taken with the purposive sampling technique. Independent variable is the early initiation of breastfeeding and the dependent variable is the height of uterine fundus. Research instrument in the form of sheet check list and analysis of data using Chi-Square Test. Results showed that from 18 postpartum mothers who initiated breastfeeding early is almost entirely high-normal fundus uterine 15 respondents (83.00%). Based on the results of chi square statistical test showed no relationship to the height of early initiation of breastfeeding on maternal postpartum uterine fundus, where the 'X2 calculation (7.62» X2 table (3.84) with a = 0.05. Based on the description above we can conclude there is a relationship with a high early initiation of breastfeeding on maternal postpartum uterine fundus, and therefore the need !br education about early initiation of breastfeeding in mothers giving birth so that the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding can be done optimally, and the need for improvements in communication approaches, information, education and motivation.
