Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Kadar HbCO dalam Darah Pedagang Kaki Lima di Jalan Raya Porong Sidoarjo
Carbon monoxide (CO) is a component (gas) is coloriess and odoriess so it is difficult to detect its presence. Tills is very dangerous considering holding capacity of hemoglobin (Hb) that is 210 times stronger than the oxygen that is hindering the circutetion of oxygen throughout body tissues. However, the presence of CO in the blood is also influenced by factors such as levels of CO in the air, smoking habits, age and work long hours. This study aimed to know the factors associated with level of HbCO in the blood of sidewalk traders at Jalan Raya Sidoarjo Porong. The study is analytical study The population was all of the sidewalk traders at Jalan Raya Sidoarjo Porong, and semple be chosen by random sampling. The data was analyzed by using Fisher Exact Probability test. The results showed that levels of HbCO in blood on the sidewalk traders in Jalan Raya Sidoarjo Porong was associated with higher levels of HbCO in the blood such as subjective complaints, smokIng habits, age and longer working hours showed no association with levels of HbCO in the blood. Suggestion for further research to study the influence of other factors with a more representative research methods and the control, and sample a larger study with longer observation time.
