Perilaku Masyarakat dan Faktor Lingkungan yang Berhubungan dengan Kejadian Antraks di Kecamatan Kodi Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya (Behavior of Community and Environmental Factors Relaed to The Anthrax incident in Sub District, Sumba Barat Daya District)
Anthrax is a disease Zoonotic diseases caused by Baccilus anthrakcis. In 2007, there Extraordinary incident (KLB) anthrax in District Kodi West Sumba, with 18 people the number of cases and 5 fatalities. This study sursey research in areas that have experienced anthrax incident. Population and sample are heads of households and the environment in the region anthrax incident. The data collected is the data environment consisting of soil pH, organic matter content, and air temperature as well as knowledge, attitude and practice of community. Presentation of data was descriptive. The results showed that the environment consisting of soil pH, organic matter content and air temperature has the potential for survival of baccillus antrakcis, respondents' knowledge about anthrax, anthrax prevention and control is still low. Respondents generally have a pretty good attitude in the response to anthrax, but still there is the behavior of respondents who are at risk for contracting anthrax, such as custom cutting and eating meat of dead animals and dispose of dead livestockForestry.
