One important element of health is a matter of nutrition, malnutrition in children causes slow growth and development, prone to disease and reduced levels of intelligence as well as on the state of severe malnutrition can cause of death. The incidence of malnutrition in Indonesia in 2008 amounted to 28.0% from the results of the monitoring of nutritional status (MNS) at Tuban district, the incidence of malnutrition showed 12.4%, in other side the incidence of malnutrition at Merkawang in 2008 amounted to 14.2% and increased in the year of 2009 to 19.6%. The factors that influence to the nutritional status of children is the upbringing of nutrition, in this villages most of mothers gives food additives of nutritional food for their children. This study was. to analyze the relationship between the pattern of nutrition care with nutrition status. This study was using the design of cross sectional analytiC approach. The sample was taken from mostly 2-5 years old children, It used random sampling techniques to analyze the sample size as much as 68 toddler1: Independent variable is the pattern of nutrition care and nutritional status of children as dependent variables, and the research instrument was using a questionnaire and observation sheet of nutritional status of children, the location was at Merkawang Tambakboyo in February until May 2010, and usIng the chi¬square test analysis. With significance level 0.05. Based on the results, nearly a half children are under five (42.63%), ways to teach nutrition in the adequate category, and mostly (66.13%), good nutritional status. The chi-square analysis results obtained X 2 count (17.69» from X 2 tables (5.59), for calculating X 2> X 2 table, the H1 accepted, means that there was a correlation between the pattern of nutrition care with nutritional status of children aged 2 -5 years in Tuban Tambakboyo Merkawang district.
