Efektivitas Cairan Bekicot dalam Meredakan Rasa Sakit pada GIGi Karies

Abstract: Dental caries can cause pain which is caused by the stimuli from the nerves and by the pressure being transmitted by tomejiber through tubulus dentin which is subsquently transmitted to odontoblast. From the observation, traditionally village community in Bali use snile liqiud to kill the pain caused by dental carries. The overal objective of this research is to identify the effectiveness of the snail liquid in healing the pain in dental carries. This research is an experimental study with pre post test design with control. This study was conducted in SMP Kertha Budaya Mas, Gianyar Regency from August until November 2009. The member of sample used 42 persons whom were group in two i.e, 21 person as the case group and 21 persons as control group. Based on the statistical testusing Icoxon Signed Test, it found that the significance level was 0.000 (less then 0.05). Whilst in control group whose teeth were applied with aquades, the significance was 0.07 (more than 0.05). based on the Mann- Whitney Test, the significance level ofO. 008 (less than 0.05). This shows that thre is a decrease of pain after the treatment (appfication of snail liquid). This shows that snail liquid is efective to decreasingpain in dental carries.
