Perilaku Seksual dan Kejadian Infeksi Menular Seksual (IMS) pada Pekerja Seks Komersial (PSK) di Puskesmas Sukarja Kota Bandar Lampung Tahun 2009

Abstract: Behavior Sexual and Incidence Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) in Sex Workers in Sukaraja Puskesmas Bandar Lampung 2009. Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) is a person acquired . the disease through sexual contact. Impact of !MS is infertility, pelvic inflammation, cancer and mY-AIDS infection. even a pandemic can occur. STI incidence figures can not be predicted with certainty, but the WHO in 1999 estimated 340 million new cases each year. STI's in sex workers in Indonesia recorded very high in Asia. survey of Health Ministry in 2005 in several cities there were approximately 39 to 61.1% of sex workers exposed to SITs. In the city of Bandar Lampung case of STI during the last 3 years tends to increase, in 2004 (168 cases), 2005 (252 cases), in 2007 (963 cases). STl cases are spread across 13 district, but the incidence of STl's most long-largest in the district especially in the location scenery and beaches of hope in the work area Talbot Community Health Center, which in 2006 was found (102 cases), in 2007 (163 cases) and 2008 (218 cases). Correct health bebaviors is a way to reduce ar.d even avoid the transmission of STI's, including: Abstince, Be Faithful and rules for the use of condoms in risky sex, especially on the CSW. This study aims to determine the relationship of sexual behavior with the incidence of STI's in sex workers in the working area of 2009 SukarajaCommunity Health Center, the kind of analytic survey research with cross sectional design. Samples taken from the 2009 population of'prostirutes are 329 sex workers, according to the formula for calculating sample proportions test two different hypotheses obtained .a. sample size of 110 respondents, the sampling technique is simple random sampling.
