Berbagai Tantangan dalam Penanganan Klinis Skizofrenia

The discovery of atypical antipsychot ics has improved the treatment of psychotic disorders including schizophrenia. New expectations as well as new challlenges appear. Despite the positive aspects of these new generation of antipsychotics, there are not yet any satisfactory solution onseveral problems in the treatment of schiszopherenia : duration of untreated psychosis, weiht gain and sexsual clysfunction associated with or caused by atypical antipsychotics poor or partial respond ers, long term treatment/ medication, issues concerming negative symptoms ang cognitive dysfunction, and psychosocal management strategies for schizophrenics.
