Pengaruh Paparan Polutan Udara terhadap VO2 Max pada Pekerja Batik di Lingkungan Pabrik Batik (Effect of Air Pollutant Exposure an VO2 Max to Batik Workers in Batik Factory Environment)
Batik industri uses basic materials that contains was. Wax will produce smoke when heated. Smoke of wax contains pollutants such as Nox₁ SO2CO1 CO2 HC1 H2S and particles. The pollutant acute or chronic damage to lung tissue if inhaled by the workers, depending on the pollutant concentration, duration of exposure and vulnerability of the body. The purpose of this dtudy is to determine the effect of air pollutants on V2 max to batik workers in batik factory evironment. This study used an analytical cross sectional study using fixed exposure sampling technique conducted in July 2010. The sample consisted 60 batik factory workers both inside and outside the factory plant. Data were collected by use of questionnaire and the shuttle run test. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression on SPSS version 16 and Stata intercooled version 7. Tthe results showed that VO2 max of batik factory workers was 3.9 ml./kg/ minute lower than that of workers outside the factory batik (b=-3.9. p=0.003) after controling for the sifefect of smoking habits, age length of employment, and BMI. Working batik factory signifikantly reduces VO2 max by 3,9 mL/kg minute after controlling for smoking, age, length employment, and BMI.
