Varisela Berulang pada Penderita HIV (Recurrent Varicella in HIV Patient)
Varicella is an acute skin disorder caused by varicella zostervirus (VZV), easily contagious and occur more often in childhood. Immunocompromised patient are hiher risk for extensive coutneoes, secondary bacterial infectionof skin lesions, and the threatening visceral dissemination, in these patients recurrent varicella also can occur. To know the cuses of recurrent varricella and to evaluate the effectiveness of theatment. A27 years old man hospitlized with HIV and lung TB,2 weeks after that, vesicel contained clear fluid based on the crythematous skin contained clear fluid based on the erythematous skin appeared on this face and trunk than spread to this arms and legs. There was pustule and crust too. This parient already had the same lesion 6 years ago; he also ever suffered from herpes zoster 5 year ago. Resul to ELISA. (Antibody for HIV) was reactive, tzanck smear preparation was found multinucleated giant cell. We give oral acyclovir, antibiotic based on pus culture resul, and lung Tbtreatment. After 2 weeks of treatment, the patient got cured. In HIV patients, recurrent varicella are common as failure to make protective immunity during primary varicella. Specific antiviral therapy for the HIV infected patient with varicella, should begin as early in the course of the infection as possible. For this patient, we still use acyclovir for inhibiting viral multiplication
